From the airport
Take Highway 1 to San Jose.
From Liberia
Take route 21 for 7.6 miles and take a right to Highway 1. Drive for 75 miles and take the exit to route 23, from there drive for 55.2 miles to get to San Jose.
By Bus
Take the bus in front of the airport. Make sure to ask the bus driver if he is heading to San Jose, since there is some buses that stop there on the way to Alajuela.
